I just heard this morning..Jake Eilen was killed last night in Hampton. He was on his way home from the shop and swung into his wife’s parents home to pick up their dog. He went off the curve on Hwy 50 coming into Hampton. He went through his windshield and the truck ended up on top of him. Please keep his family, wife Annie (Doffing) & their baby in your prayers.
This just sends shivers down my spine -- they have a baby that is almost 1 and are in the middle of building this great new home near Jakes's parents (across from our house). Just when you think your life is going great- something unforseen and horrific like this happens. Jake was too young to die. It goes to show you never know when God plans to take you so enjoy every moment.

Jake will be missed dearly, he was a near and dear friend. We are all coping as best we can, trying to make sense out of all of this.
There is nothing anyone can say at this time to make your life any easier. Please know that you have so many people who are praying for you and care. Jake will be so missed by many. It just isn't fair that he is taken from his family and friends in such a senseless way. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart and prayers go out to all who knew Jake. He was a wonderful person.
