Back home

So I'm back home!! Friday morning I had to leave my little guy for the first time. It was miserable leaving him- I absolutely hated it! I left for California early Friday morning, I arrived CA time at 9am and was working by 10:30. A full day of work later, went to eat with some coworkers then headed up to my room. I had to get up at 3:30am to catch a cab at 4am and make my flight that left at 6:30am! So that kind of stunk- but totally worth it to come home. I walked in the door at home about 1 or 1:30 I think. Henry was waiting for me! He ate for about 5 minutes in fell asleep... Henry was a very good boy for his daddy and they were very busy-- they hardly had time to miss me!

We had a full weekend, Saturday when I got home we went to Brendon's softball tourney in Fairibult- he played 3 games and then we went to his coworkers house to bbq - we left around 11. Henry did so good- was happy the whole time and fell asleep around 9:30 and slept the whole night once we got home. Then Sunday we got up nice and early and went to my parents to paint their garage and pump house.. Brendon had to play ball again so he left early and Henry and I stayed. He took a nice nap so we got lots of work done.

This week will be nice that it's nice and short with the holiday in there. Henry will get to experience his first parade in Cannon on Friday!

I have some new pics-- yesterday at my parents we hooked up the johnny jumper-- he really liked it! I'll post the pics soon.

New House

For those that haven't heard we are officially moving! We sold our townhouse in Hastings and then shortly after that put an offer in on a house in Hampton. We're moving out and in on July 15th! We're really excited to be moving into a nice big house. This new house is great, it's 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a bar downstairs (brendon likes that!), nice big kitchen & living room and 3 car garage. It's a 2 story house with a really nice layout. So we're busy packing up and moving on up!

A little disappointing we couldn't build at this time, but that's the way things go. Grandma G-- we'll still be over to use that pool even if we aren't next door neighbors!

More to come..

All better

The family is pretty much all healthy again.. a little lingering cough for Henry and I still, but all in all, we're both just about good as new!

We had a pretty good week and weekend. Saturday afternoon I decided to take a nice bath and shortly after, Brendon and Henry came looking for mom. Brendon thought it would be funny for Henry to take a bath with me. So we did. We put him in the tub with me and I put him on my lap and the first thing he did was pee! There went a nice big stream.. oh well, that kind of stuff doesn't seem to matter when it's your own kid. Henry loved it, he loved being surrounded in more water than his regular little tub. He was smiling and splashing! Sorry no pictures of this event! ha!

Michele and Jamie Lindell also lent us their exersaucer-- no Brendon not and "extra saucer" - long story! : ) The daycare put Henry in one last week, and Michele told me a long time ago that we could borrow theirs.. Henry really likes it. I notice it's made changes with Henry, when I hold him now he loves to go to right to his feet and try to stand. It's really nice to borrow some things like this since they won't use it all that long-- so thanks Lindells!

Henry's newest thing is he loves his toes! He figured out he can get them in his mouth now! It's so funny watching him try and try to get his leg to stay up by his mouth. Even more funny when he tries to get his hands and feet in his mouth at the same time!

Mommy Pagel is sick now

Now I'm sick.. I guess I got too many kisses from Henry while he was sick. We've had a rough couple nights with no sleep. I even stayed home from work yesterday sick and still sent Henry to daycare. I felt so bad sending him off if I was home, but I really needed to catch up on some sleep. I did go get him early and the sleep really helped me! Little Henry is feeling better- he's pretty much back to his happy self, he went to sleep easy last night but did get up for a good hour or so in the middle of the night which is unusual for him. He still has a little cough and some sneezes, but his demeanor is much happier so I know he's on the mend.. now if I could just get better!

First Cold

Our little Henrizzle has his first cold. Poor little guy doesn't feel well--- he's all stuffy and coughs and sneezes a lot. I heard him coughing all night last night. Of course he hates the booger sucker, but we have to do it too. He still smiles a lot, so I know it can't be too bad. I think it's mostly the cough that bothers him. He hasn't been going to sleep all that well the last couple days either-- he falls alseep then as soon as you put him down, he wakes up or within 20-30 minutes he wakes up and wants to eat again. Once 11:30ish hits, he's kept alseep, but from 9-11 he just keeps waking up. It's a little hard on me after a while, plus I'm just so tired only getting 5 hours of sleep a night, but I know once he feels better he'll be back to normal sleeping and it will all be better.

Happy Father Day

Happy Father Day to al the daddies out there!

Henry just couldn't wait to give Brendon his present, so he gave it to him last night (Saturday night). He gave him a cute 1st fathers day card and a really nice new watch from Chicago Ed's. Brendon's other watch hasn't worked in a while but he was still wearing it some times! : ) Henry has been hiding the present for 4 weeks! He also made Brendon a present at daycare-- a nice keychain that says dad on it, it was soo cute. I love that the daycare does cute things like that. All the dads got rootbeer floats at daycare too- Brendon was pretty spoiled this father's day! I'll download the picture of the keychain tomorrow. Henry loves his daddy!

New pics our of little man

Henry has been starting to giggle a little bit more-- for the past couple weeks I've heard it only once or twice, but now it's more often... it's so cute when he does it! He's really starting to figure out that he can make noise too, he just talks or sings to himself all the time now. I love that he likes to sit in his high chair.. I roll it around the kitchen wherever I go so he can keep an eye on me and then we roll it up to the table for dinner. He loves his bath time too- I think we only gave him 2 or 3 "countertop baths"-- we've mostly always put him in the big tub (well his little tub in the big tub). He loves to splash and kick so the big tub works the best. He loves laying on his play mat and grabing the toys off of it-- a couple toys I don't hook through all the way, so he pulls with all his might, and they fall down- he loves that! He always seem to be grabbing something, either toys, his hands or my hair! He's still sleeping like a champ, so that is awesome! We have so much fun with our little dude!

new picsJust playing on the floor

Here is a shot of him getting soo close to rolling over (hard to snap these action shots!)-- he does good both from belly to back and back to belly.. I love how he got that left leg and heel up. He was trying soo hard!

A cute one in his bumbo and his little puppy (or as Brendon calls it- the Roomba)

Looking cute : )

Lovin his mommy.. I guess looks more like mommy loving Henry. His hugs are the best!

3 Months old

Our little Henry is 3 months old already- wow time flies! He's getting so big and so fun. He's such a good boy. Everytime we're out people make the comment of how good he is and how quiet he is. I think Henry just loves checking everything and everyone out when we're out and about he hardly has time to make a peep.

I think his latest trick is going to be rolling over, seem so early, but he's almost there! It's so funny watching him because he gets so close to flipping and then stops. Many times I push him over when he gets that close so he knows what he should try to do- it's so much fun.

Sending him off to daycare still stinks, but we have to do it.

Our house in Hastings is officially sold and we close July 15th. We're actively looking for a new home and think we've found a great one in Hampton. Hampton will be a nice location for both of us, close to 47 for Brendon to go to work and close to 52 for me to head up to St. Paul. I'd rather have Brendon and Henry have a shorter drive then me, so it works out good. We're going to look at the house again tonight and might even put in an offer!!

We'll keep you posted! And I'll get some new pics of Henry posted tonight or tomorrow.

SOLD!!

Wholy crap- looks like we're moving on up! We've been going back and forth with a potential buyer on the price of our house.. he finally accepted a couter offer but still not great in my mind.. but we'll live with it. BUT now we just got a call for another showing... so we're trying to figure out legally what we can do. Looks like one way or another we're moving though! EEK Happy and sad at the same time... it was my first house I bought all on my own at age 21 -- I put a lot into that house and love it, but I do realize that the townhouse just isn't enough for our new family-- it served it's purpose though and now time to move on.. I like all my neighbors too, but that's just part of life. Now since we didn't get what we wanted for townhome, looks like we might buy a house and try to find a good deal rather than build, so kind of a bummer there, but the way the economy is, it's probably just better this way. We will build eventually on some family land, but not for a few years. So sounds like July 15th we have to be out-- who wants to volunteer to move?! : )

Here is Henry in his high chair-- he loved it!

These are the best... my dad was giving Henry Whisker rubs... he loved it.. he'll soon learn to run away from the whiskers!!

Pam took this at Cassi's wedding shower this past weekend-- just a sweet one of Henry and mom hugging!

Henry and his cute shoes!! : )
Brendon loved taking this one... Henry and I were so tired Sunday we fell asleep together in the chair!

My 3M anniversary

So I didn't get the pictures downloaded yet- but will!

Last night we decided to stay in for dinner for our first year anniversary, we had great rib eye steaks and crab legs! Yum! Brendon also got Henry's high chair together so he can sit with us at the dinner table from now on! : ) He liked sitting there and watched me eat the whole time- he's such a good boy!

Today is my 12 year anniversary at 3M. Wow has that time flown by-- only 24 more years to go!

We had a second showing on our townhouse on Sunday afternoon and we received an offer yesterday, but the offer was terrible, so we did a counter offer yesterday and just waiting to hear today...

Our Anniversary

Wow- it's already our 1 year anniversary. What a year it's been, married and a few days later pregnant and 41 short weeks after that along came Henry! Our lives have been wonderful so far, and hope they just get better and better!

We're so lucky to have such a great relationship and a wonderful little family already.

I'll post a few cute pics that were taken over the weekend later tonight.
