We had Henry's school conferences yesterday and he's doing just awesome. The main teacher goes through a development sheet, similar to ones at the Dr, but a lot more detailed, and we go and checkmark things he's doing at what age. He's right on his age (13 months) for everything and then many thing are at the 15 and 18 months age range! They love how good he is at kicking balls and they laugh that he sits on balls like a stability ball! He'll be moving to the "toddler" room July 1st. All kids move when they turn 16 months-- I guess it's a state requirement. So in the toddler room he'll need to be doing a lot of new things and be "off" of a few baby things... so in the next few months we need to work on his transition of those things. The Montessori is very structured which is great and I know will really help Henry's development. I'm sure he's sick of those babies in the infant room by now too- he's ready to play with some big kids! : )
Henry's eating habits continue to change, "most" of the time he eats well at daycare, but sometimes won't. We've both noticed that he seems to eat better if one thing is on his tray at a time, rather than all the foods at once.. kinda funny I think- I know a lot of people that don't like to mix their foods, so maybe he'll be one of those! : ) Good news is he's eating veggies again.. he devours asparagus and likes beans and sometimes carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli.
This is Henry just chillin in the car on the way home from daycare the other day... I thought it was so funny how he puts his hands behind his head when he's chillin on his drive home- I think he was about ready to fall asleep.
