I had to bring Stella in again on this past Friday for a quick weight check. Friday was her 2 week birthday! She gained 3oz in 3 days, so the Dr was very happy about that. On Friday she weighed 6lbs 6.5 oz. She's not quite back to birth weight yet, but is well on her way. The Dr wants me to bring her in some time next week just to be sure we're still in the right direction. She's awake a lot more lately and eating a lot more too, so I'm pretty confident we'll be good next week. The Dr was never really concerned just wanted to check her. She says all scales are a little different and she wasn't losing any, but at the 2 week mark, the usually want them to be at or close to birth weight. So good job little Stella-- maybe she'll just be a petite little thing! : )
All is good on the home front. Got Stella's infant pictures ordered, they are just amazing pictures! Henry still loves baby Stella, kisses her all the time and she's sleeping a little better at night too. Usually goes to bed around midnight (give or take an hour) and then wakes around 2 or 3 and again around 5 or 6 and then again around 7 or 8.. so pretty typical I guess. She sure likes to be held though.. even in the hospital the nurses in the nursery told me how she likes to be held and she wasn only in the nursery twice while I showered each day! Oh well- you can't spoil a baby, so enjoy holding her- even at 3am! She starting to enjoy the swing and her eyes are open exploring the house a lot, for the most part, she's pretty content.
