Busy Weekend

Friday was so nice, I took the day off work and got to enjoy a day with Henry. We got up early and fed the ducks, watered the garden and flowers and just goofed around all day-- just him and me. Then we ran errands and back home for awhile. Saturday morning we got up early and played then headed out to watch Brendon play softball. We were in Zumbrota for about 5 hours! Henry was so good and even though it was soo hot out, you'd never know it bothered him. His cheeks were so red, everyone thought he was sun-burned, but I knew it wasn't, he was just flushed with it being so hot out..thank goodness for good baby sunscreen! Not a pink spot on him-- Bren and I both got red, but not Henry. Just lots and lots of water and sunscreen, it made it a great day. He threw a fit when we were trying to leave! Bren stayed and played another game and went to a BBQ at the Stays house, so I got some Henry time later that evening too. Sunday Bren went to play softball again (they got 2nd place!), Henry and I hung out at the house, took a nap, then went out to my parents to have a late lunch, play with the kittens, the dog, and got his first ride on the bobcat-- not really a ride I guess, but go to sit on it! So a busy weekend, but lots of mom/Henry time, so I loved it!

Playing in the driveway
Loves his little bike he got from Landon-- he doesn't move much on it, but he still loves it!

Watering my plants... what a good helper!
Just goofing around inside-- he pulled out a bunch of ribbon out of a drawer in the office and I think he has a lint roller in his hand too..
He loves sitting in the laundry basket

I love this video.. Henry loves to "help" me water my plants and flowers, so I give him the watering can with a little water in it and he goes to each bush and waters it then points to the next and grunts like he's asking that one too? Then I say yes, that one too, then he goes to the next and the next and the next... it's so stinkin cute! The video cut short, but you get the point.

Some more pictures of the kitties at my parents house..

This is Brady determined to get that kitty in the back of the kennel out! Notice the dinosaur slippers he has on! : )
Sitting in the hay barn playing with the new kitty's
The kittens are so sweet and tame... Henry kept wanting to touch their noses!

We had a great weekend. Friday night we went to my cousin Amanda's graduation party and Saturday Brendon and I had no plans the whole day! We had fun just slackin around the house. Henry and I washed the car and he had a lot of fun with the hose.. he kept squirting himself and laughing.. then we'd fill up his bucket and he'd "wash" the rocks in our front yard. We watered the plants which was so cute... Henry would grab the watering can (empty) and bend over and water each and every plant! We got it on video camera, but I can't download it from that.. I'll have to get it on the digital camera one day. He did get a nice boo-boo too. We were downstairs and Henry fell on a 12 pack and scraped his nose pretty good. He's tough and didn't cry much at all, but he's got a very red nose... Brendon calls him rudolph now. I keep putting lotion and neosporin on it, so I hope it heals quickly. And Sunday Brendon golfed and Henry and I hung out until about 4 and then went to visit my mom and dad and see some new landscaping they did for Beth's wedding coming up here, then back by 6 for dinner with Bren.

This one got all blury but I thought it was still cute.. My dad walking to the barn with Henry in hand and Brady up a head... and of course the dog nearby.
I think Reggie is Henry's new best bud... he used to be so scared of him, now he just loves Regg-- pets him and gives him hugs too.. Reggie is pretty good with him... We use Reggie to play "where is Reggie's nose" where is Reggie's ears... it's funny.

My parents got 3 new kitty's yesterday, so Henry and I stopped to see them. Henry thought they were pretty cool

Henry usually naps twice a day.. once in the am and one in the afternoon.. but for some reason this weekend, he only took one nap each day and it wasn't until 2pm! He didn't even sleep in at all this weekend.. this picture was toady while Brendon was golfing and Henry started getting tired... he jumped in the laundry basket and laid down (of course he didn't stay long though)

Henry watching Barney in the morning! : )

Last Friday I met Brendon and Henry in Northfield, we had a dr appt to check Henry's ears.. good news, his ears are back to normal. He got weighed fully clothed/diapered and was 25lbs! Whoa- a big boy-- I can't believe he's 25lbs-- he's filling out nicely! : ) Then we decided to go to Brendon's work to sit in the big trucks! Here is Henry on the horse in the entry way.

This was really cute... I said "say cheese", and Henry would bend down and smile like that.. funny little boy.

Hey look- even more beer!

Driving the Bud Semi with Dad

These next picture were taken while I was a 3M resort in Park Rapids. 3M owns a place called Wonewok. It's over a 700 acre place .. it's a very elite place and I was excited to be invited there.

This was a pic of the lilly pads in the 3M lake.. (ya.. 3M even owns one of the lakes and they stock it with trout)

At Wonewok there is a tradition that if this is your first time here, you have to climb the ladder and kiss the moose while everyone cheers for you and sings a "kiss the moose" song.

This was the view from my cabin... beautiful

There were a lot of activities at Wonewok, I got do some archery and trap shooting. I liked them both!
These next two were before my trip... I thought it was cute how Henry was carrying around a Victoria's Secret bag ... : )

Pudding!

So we found out just how much Henry loves pudding! A couple weeks ago I gave Henry his first taste of pudding.. the vanilla flavor. We try not to give him too many "treats" because soon enough, I know he'll eat plenty of junk.. but anyway, he ate the pudding so fast and it when it was gone he signed for more please and more please and more please... we haven't had any in a week or so, and last night I was playing with Henry outside and it's a bear trying to get him to go inside... he cries and kicks and yells when it's time to go in.... so I said " Henry, let's go inside and have some pudding" and oh my gosh... the kid took off and went right inside on his own and went right for the drawer that we keep the pudding in!! Brendon and I just laughed-- he's never gone inside like that before! So now we're reserving pudding for special bribes!! Just thought it was a funny little story I should share!

Fun Weekend

We had a fun week/weekend. Thursday evening I sort of surprised Brendon by inviting his family over for dinner. We had fun sitting around on the deck and bringing the kids down to the feed the ducks.. Henry loves when people come over.. he likes to entertain! It was fun watching Henry, Landon and Miley interact together too. Brendon got a nice weed whipper from Henry and I for his bday!

Saturday Bren and I played in a the "Save 2nd Base" breast cancer fundraiser softball tourney. We brought Henry with for 2 games, and that went well..as long as he had a ball to throw, he was happy! Then my sister watched him while he napped, fed him lunch, then brought him to the fields for us, then Pam and Ken and Landon came down and got him for us and Henry went out there and had so much fun playing outside with Landon.. he took a good nap too, then we went to Jen and Little's for a BBQ... what a day! I heard the tourney raised $4,000!!

Sunday Brendon golfed, Henry and I played outside, fed the ducks, then Brendon blew up Henry's pool and we were going swimming! As we were getting ready, Henry was coming up stairs to see me and he fell down the stairs... he does the stairs really well, so we didn't think much of it that nobody was right behind him, so he fell about 6 steps and he got a bloody nose and a fat lip. Oh my heart just broke to see his face. But Henry as tough as he is, really didn't cry much at all... a few hugs and kisses later we went swimming and I sat in the pool with him-- we had fun!

Henry is talking to Brendon through the window here...
