Labor Day Weekend

Man the holiday weekends fly by. I had the day off on Friday since our daycare was closed, so Henry and I got to watch Brady-- they had so much fun playing all morning with the neighbor kids, Henry fell asleep in my arms. Then Brendon and I went to see Jim Gaffigan at Treasure Island with the Bakken family-- we had a great time. Angie and Brady watched Henry for us, so Henry got pretty much a whole day of Brady-- he loved it! Saturday we hung out all day and then went to watch the Bears play all the way to Arlington MN (this was our 3rd trip out there) Henry traveled soo well to all the games- he's pretty mellow when he's in the car. Too bad the Bears lost, but Henry had fun playing with Miley at the game and was a really good boy. Sunday we hung out and Henry and I went to my Grandma Gergen's and went swimming with some of my aunts/uncles and cousins, and Brady and my mom and dad.. Henry loved it and loves the water. My mom took some good pictures so I'll get those posted later. Then Sunday night we had some friends come over for a BBQ, Henry had a great time playing with Jada Lindell- Jada is a total mother, so she was watching out for Henry the whole time- it was really cute. Then Sunday night we decided it would be fun to take Henry to the zoo on Monday, then we thought it would be fun to bring Brady since he talks about the zoo all the time, then we thought we should bring Landon too- so we did! Landon and Brady were very cute- holding hands and talking dinosaurs to each other. Most of the time they were both very well behaved, so we all had fun. What a busy weekend- but a lot of fun

I was happy we could fit 3 carseats in our car-- they all read dinosaur books the whole way to the zoo and talked about what kind of dinosaurs were their favorites. Even Henry sat there and flipped through the books

Henry went in the potty chair at daycare today! Great job Henry!! That was his first time he's actually gone-- sits all the time, but now he went. We'll see if we can keep it up now (doubtful I know) " )

Daddy's home

My mom gets mad at me when I post on here or FB that Brendon is gone - so I waited unitl now that I know he's on his way home to say that he's been gone! : )
Brendon and 6 other high school buddies left for the boundary waters last Thursday AM. Brendon and 2 other guys dropped Henry off at school, then they were off! Up there they don't have cell service, so it was pretty strange to not be able to talk to him for 5 days! I just heard a little bit ago that they were in Duluth. Henry has sure missed his daddy... every time he wakes up from a nap or morning, he goes "daddy?" and I say daddy's fishin.. then he tries say fishin.. more like "ishin".. our days together were so awesome and he was soo good.. just mom and Henry! I wish I could be there to see the reunion of them tonight but I have to go to school... ugh.. Henry will be so happy!

Dakota County Fair and other stuff

Tonight (Friday night) Henry and I had dinner at my mom and dad's with Angie and Brady. Henry ate soo much (read on) he had some beans, watermelon, milk, hasbrowns and 2 whole corn on the cobs! He just loves eating off the cob... then he went and played in the sandbox for quite a while with Brady, then he was washing his hands with grandma.. at our house I guess we only have liquid soap, so the bar soap was something new... he did normal, then after about 5 minutes of washing (and mom and I standing right there talking) he bites a big chunk off the soap! He spit it right out-- it was pretty funny.

Brendon and I took Henry to the Dakota County Fair last Friday and then that Sunday I took Henry there again and we met up with my sister Angie and her son Brady and his buddy Jack. The boys had lots of fun and Brendon even enjoyed a few rides

Vacations

So we've had a couple of fun vacation this weekend/week. Friday night started our Annual Prior Lake camping trip with Morrisey's, Conways, Lindell's, Heski's, Pacioreks, Rapps, etc.. it was really cute watching the kids interact and play with all the toys- they all did so good. Henry and I waited until after his nap on Saturday to go... so this was only Henry's 2nd time sleeping in a pack n play and first time to sleep in a tent... it didn't go so well. He went down just fine, and around 11 he woke and I was able to get him right back down. Then came 2am when I went to go to bed and I snuck in the tent (we had a room divider up) and I was on my side, and I heard this " HI... HI..... HI.... HI.....HI.....HI......HI..." It just kept on and in different tones, I couldn't help but giggle then he kept saying hi some more... so I grabbed him and thought he'd go to sleep so I asked Brendon to come to bed since I figured he'd wake a again when Brendon came to bed... we have a small tent and we barely fit in there... so then at that time, Henry just thought it was time to play.. he was running around the tent jumping up and down on us and happy as can be... all I wanted to do was sleep... he was up for 2 hours! Just when he'd fall asleep I'd put him down and NOPE- up again! Henry also figured out how to climb out of the pack-n-play... I tried to just let him cry a little and hope he'd fall alseep, then all the sudden around the corner here he comes! It kinda freaked me out-- I didn't think he could get out! Finally around 4am, he fell alseep on me and woke up at 6am and I said we have to go home! So we packed up and left around 7:30am and then he came home and took a good nap. So what I can say is it was soo much fun during the day.. but no more camping in a tent until he's a little bigger! Then Saturday morning we had to leave for our next trip... I'll post that later..

Last weekend at Beth's wedding my camera got broke by someone, so I ordered a new one and it came 2 days later! So here are a few new pics.. Henry is doing awesome at sitting on the potty chair... he usually sits on it every time we do a diaper change, hasn't gone yet in it, but sitting on it is good.. but now I've realized, he sits on it just so he can wash his hands... he loves to wash his hands... drives me nuts that he wants to wash his hands for like 10 minutes! Still lots of talking and just being Henry!

Friday I had the day off work, so Henry and I went swimming at my grandma's pool.. man she has a beautiful pool. My cousin Apthin came swimming with us! Henry had so much fun in the pool... after a little while he became quite the dare devil... and it tired him out nicely too! Can't wait to go back!
